What does “clean FB account” mean? I’m assuming it’s referencing Facebook account, but what is different with a “clean” account, as opposed to one you just create your self?

Easiest way is to just point qbit at the “tun0” interface from the network tab in the menu of qbit…point-click-done
It’s not OSS so I I’m not paying/supporting it financially. I don’t mind donating to a good ad-free (F)OSS client though.
Uses ads so I’ll pass
Filled with ads and not open source, so not for me.
Sync has ads and isn’t open source, so that’s a big no thank you from me.
I really miss a good Lemmy mobile client though…I was using liftoff which reminded a lot of RIF, but that seems to have been abandoned completely. A lot have ads, so that’s a hard pass for me. I’m currently using Thunder, but it’s a pretty buggy mess TBH with a lot of UI oddities and bugs.
I sometimes use stremio + torrentio and it works great. What does real debrid add to the setup?
Basically all the large national news sites where I live are unaffected by this filter. This article for example has a paywall when i visit.
It may let you read some sites, but it has never worked for me. I constantly run in to paywalls despite using this.
Yeah that was the very first thing I tried…
I tried switching to another port, still with the VPN disabled, but that didnt work so i switched back to the port i was using before and then it worked 🤷♂️
It still stops working when i enable the VPN though
No I’m using the paid tier of proton, and already using quad9 DNS and have DNS over https enabled.
It’s a 9 year old laptop, so things really should be ironed out on the HW side IMO. It didn’t have issues last i used ubuntu, think it was 18.04 i used back then.
You’d think they had hardware support for a 9 year old laptop done by now…
I recently tried ubuntu on my laptop, every time i brought it back from sleep/hibernation my touchpad wasn’t working and i had to reboot. It’s been a few years since i used it last, i was expecting significantly better stability than that…
It only annoyed me into stopping using their service
Seems fair TBH, you’re easily sending TBs of data through it, that’s not the intention of the free tier.
Aah OK…well OP can fuck right off then if it’s for spam bots.
