You pass the storage problem to the user. How do you know which files to host where if most users watch most content once?
Then free users could then turn off the internet and not listen to ads, cutting all your monetisation
The great problem is that, as it turns out, as always when it comes to mass media distribution services (ie: YouTube, twitch, etc), bandwidth is expensive, having servers around the world to have proper content delivery is expensive
That’s not the point. The point is takedown actions being a lot easier especially if one of the idiots tries to argue against
That’s not the problem. The question is, stopping actors that put ads and paywalls behind modified source, which technically isn’t malicious, it’s just being a jerk and this licensing makes it much easier to take down. Ofc, if he actually wanted it to be open source, he’d just force all derivatives to be non commercial.
Still not bad requirements at all
Any of the Portal Series. You can slowly progress through the game (first one ain’t long at all) and it has a great story.
The thing with the Pentium is that it probably has a lower power consumption, that’s probably one of the reasons it was chosen
DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS, but I might be mistaken, but having the drive be internal would help with random operations because the protocol is AHCI directly, but if it’s a hard drive, and given the use case, idk if it really matters. Using anything Ubuntu based probably supports hardware acceleration if what you said is true, so I’m guessing Zorin OS would be fine if you’re familiar with it (tho I personally don’t have the best experience with it)
Maybe less enforcement, that would be my guess
