PIA is the best for torrents. It is $79 for 39 months which is $2.03/mo and they have port forwarding. That’s less than half of pretty much every other provider.

I have had 3 clients (one for a specific tracker, one for everything else, and an extra seedbox) going 24/7 for years with no problems. No complaints about the speeds either. I frequently saturate full gigabit on both downloads and uploads.

I have been playing through Elden Ring again with a friend using the seamless co-op mod and my friend on Windows gets (what we assume is) shader compilation stutter in every new area while my game has been smooth as butter.

I have actually been seeing some timestamps that are completely wrong lately, maybe this is why.

I also use the Jellyfin+Symfonium combo. There is also Finamp as the free and open source option. And Feishin on desktop.

You are literally saying this on Lemmy. A piece of software that is developed for free using other software/tools that are free, and run on servers that are hosted by others for free. Most open source projects work this way. People are fully capable of doing things because they want to. Not everything needs to be profit-driven.

If we all did this, what would happen is there would be way less slop and lazy cash-grabs. Because the only people left making things would be the ones who are actually passionate and believe in what they do.

For me I have to change SDR Color Intensity to 100% for the colors to be close to SDR. Although because you can’t use ICC profiles with HDR and my monitor is wide gamut the colors are wrong. But as far as I can tell it looks very close, if not identical to running SDR without my ICC profile enabled.

Same with Cox, the default is 1.25 TB. I pay extra for unlimited and use around 7 TB per month. Haven’t heard any complaints for the 2 years I’ve had them. I have a feeling the threshold is something like 8 or 10 TB but I’d rather not find out.

I think you guys are just discussing semantics. Revanced as a project is the patches themselves, so Revanced is open source. But a YouTube app patched with the Revanced patches is not.

You can use Windows VSTs with Yabridge. This site also lists other FOSS plugins that might be able to replace most of what you need except for the more specific and/or niche ones.

It’s not FOSS but what about Bitwig? I only have surface-level knowledge of DAWs but it seems comparable to FL or Ableton.

To be fair AMD recently had a bug where the 6000 series GPUs would sit at 96 mhz unless you set your refresh rate below 100hz and that also took a couple months to be fixed. I was randomly getting 20fps in every game until I managed to find this gitlab issue. It started in kernel 6.4 and wasn’t fixed until 6.6 so I had to play at 90hz on my 165hz monitor for that whole span.

You can manually import them to the correct episodes. You should be able to go off of episode names. Sonarr uses the TVDB and that is also what Plex/Emby/Jellyfin use normally so those are the numbers you probably want.

I have found that most torrents on rutracker are pretty well seeded in general, even the old and obscure ones. It is always the place I go when I can’t find something somewhere else.

Check rutracker, I see one that has 1.0.7.0 in particular.

To be fair it’s the exact same bypass as any other Steam game. Any steam emulator would work.

For codecs it is highly dependent on the release group. For 4K it is the only valid option, but for 1080p a lot of groups make their x265 encodes too small and sacrifice quality. Take a look at the group rankings in the trash guides for sonarr and radarr for a general idea if who is the best/worst.

As for Tdarr, you should only really use it for audio and subtitle processing. For one you should not re-encode video so unless you’re starting with remuxes you’re further degrading video that is already degraded. And for two it’s best left to the people who know what settings to tweak for each movie or episode. There is no universal setting that works well for everything so while you might be able to get acceptable quality with automation it’s never going to be great. The best groups already took the time and effort to get it right so you might as well get those and save yourself the time/electricity.
